Millionaire's Shortbread



Adapted from the recipe in http://titlisbusykitchen.com (Caramel Shortbread). There is a video-recipe in the website.

Ingredients
250 gr flour
175 gr butter
75 gr caster sugar
1 can of condensed milk caramel (397 gram) or more if you like
200 gr chocolate

Method
Mix the flour and the sugar in a bowl. Then add the chopped butter and knead well until you obtain a smooth dough. 

Place the dough in a baking tin (20 cm x 20 cm). Prick the dough (you can prick it about 35 times for such a tin) with a fork. Bake it at 180C degree for 20 minutes. 

When the shortbread is ready, leave it to cool. Then spread the caramel on the shortbread. 

Melt the chocolate with bain-marie technique. Then spread it on the caramel. Rest it in fridge until it hardens. Cut into square pieces.

Malzemeler
250 gram un

75 gram inceltilmis seker
1 teneke condensed milk caramel* (397 gram) ya da isterseniz daha fazla
200 gram cikolata

Hazirlanisi
Un ile sekeri bir kasenin icinde karistirin. Uzerine dogranmis tereyag parcalarini ilave edip, purusuz guzel bir hamur elde edinceye adar yogurun. 

Yapismaz bir firin tepsisine (20 cm x 20 cm) hamuru elinizle bastirarak yayin. Bir catal yardimi ile, hamurun uzerinde bir suru delikler acin (boyle bir tepsi icin, 35 defa catali saplayabilirsiniz).

Kurabiye hazir oldugunda, sogumaya birakin. Karameli uzerine surun. 

Cikolatayi benmari usulu eritin ve karamelin uzerine dokup, surun. Buzdolabinda, kati bir kivam alincaya kadar bekletin. Kare parcalara kesip servis ediniz.

Frambuazlı ve Beyaz Çikolatalı Bisküvi / Raspberry & White Chocolate Cookies


Phil Vickery's recipe

Ingredients
225 gr unsalted butter, softened but not melted
225 gr caster sugar
170 gr condensed milk
350 gr self-raising flour (or flour+baking powder)
White chocolate
Raspberries

Method
Using a mixer, whisk the butter and the caster sugar until the mixture becomes creamy. Stir the condensed milk and the chopped white chocolates. Then stir the flour and knead the dough. Take a piece of dough and flatten it with your fingers. But don't make it very thin (PS: You may dust the dough with little flour. this may help you to work easier). Place 2-3 raspberries on the top of the dough. 

Cover an oven-tray with a non-stick baking paper. Place the dough pieces on the tray (Any two dough pieces need some space between them, because of the effect of the self-raising flour, they will become bigger as they are baked). Place the tray into preheated oven with 180C degree. Bake for 15-18 minutes until the edges of the cookies become golden brown. When you take the tray out of the oven, the cookies will still be soft. So wait until they cool slightly, before you move them into a serving plate. 


You may also try:
Roasted hazelnuts and dark chocolate.
You may add 3 tablespoon cocoa into the dough. Then white and dark chocolate on top.
Orange zest, raisin and cinnamon.

Malzemeler
225 gr tereyag, yumusatilmis ama eritilmemis
225 gr ince cekilmis toz seker (caster sugar*)
170 gr condensed milk* (bildigim kadariyla suyu alinmis, yerine seker ilave edilmis kremamsi sut)
350 gr kendi kendine kabaran un (ya da un+kabartma tozu)
Beyaz cikolata
Frambuaz

Hazirlanisi
Tereyag ve sekeri mikser ile iyice cirpin. Uzerine "condensed sut"u ilave edip, iyice karistirin. Ardindan kucuk kucuk dogradiginiz cikolatalari ekleyin. Karistirmaya devam edin. Unu da ilave edin. Once karistirip, sonra yogurun. Bir parca hamur alip, iki elinizle duzlestirerek, sekil verin. Ama cok inceltmeyin (Not: Hamur kivamini bulunca, hamurun uzerine cok az un serperseniz, hamura sekil vermeniz daha kolay olacaktir). Sekil verdiginiz hamurun uzerine 2-3 frambuaz yerlestirin. 

Bu hamur parcalarini, icine yapismayan firin kagidi yerlestirdiginiz firin tepsisine dizin (aralik birakmayi unutmayin, cunku kabartma tozunun etkisiyle hamurlar yayilacaklar). Onceden isitilmis, 180C derece firina, tepsiyi yerlestirin ve 15-18 dakika boyunca (biskuvilerin kenarlari kahverengiye yakin bir renk alincaya kadar) pisirin. Firindan cikardiginiz biskuviler hala yumusak olacaktir. Bu yuzden, bir servis tabagina almadan once biraz sogumasini bekleyin. 


Sunlari da deneyebilirsiniz: 
Kavrulmus findik ve siyah cikolata.
3 yemek kasigi kakaoyu hamura ekleyip, hamurlara sekil verince beyaz ve siyah cikolata tanelerini uzerine ekleyebilirsiniz.
Portakal kabugu rendesi, kuru uzum ve tarcin.
